In 2015 at 19 she debuted her first single, Here. The track received praise from listeners and music critics. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the track one of the Top Songs in 2015. The same year that she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful, one of her original five tracks included on the Billboard Charts which include Billboard Hot 100 for Canada and Billboard 200 for Canada's Album Charts. Based on an interview she did with Rap Up, this particular song had a lot of significance for a lot people listening who were drawn to her tale of accepting and loving yourself. Cara's tracks often contain positive thoughts about mental health, and the importance of being self-love. The inspiration for her music is drawn from her own personal experience as she suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, her album is described as semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. She found that therapy made her stronger and she encourages other artists to follow the same path. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician born in Canada on July 11, 1996 of Italian parentage. The guitar was gifted to her from her parents at the time she turned 10 which ignited her musical passion. She started covering her favorite songs when she was thirteen to show everyone that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be the next singer. Actually the cover songs Sweater Weather was the song that got her noticed by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to compose and create her own music.
